Liz Parnova

Olympian, Winner of 2023 Survivor, and Community Support Group Leader

Elizaveta “Liz” Parnova is the winner of Australian Survivor 2023: Heroes v Villains and a former Australian Track and Field athlete and a dual Olympian.

Born in Moscow, Liz moved to Australia with her family in 1996 when she was two years old. Liz’s passion for athletics was encouraged from an early age, with her father and aunty both being world class pole vaulters.

Liz is a 4x Australian National Pole Vaulting Champion, a silver medallist in World Youth & World Junior Championships, as well as the Youth Olympic Games. Liz also represented Australia in the London Olympics as the youngest ever female pole-vaulter aged 18 and again in 2020 for the Tokyo Games.

In 2016, Liz suffered a devastating accident and broken leg in a training incident which resulted in having to forfeit her spot at the Rio Olympic Games. Broken and defeated, Liz had reached the outer limits of physical and mental suffering. With courage and determination Liz came back stronger than ever and represented the World Commonwealth Games in 2017 and 2019, placing 5th at the Gold Coast Games in 2018.

Passionate about helping people, Liz created elevateU, a community group offering support and guidance for young women around how to create a resilient mindset.

Liz utilises her platform and experience with setbacks and failure to empower young women, guiding them to build confidence and resilience in the health and wellbeing space.

Liz has worked with national brands including Adidas, True Protein, Cetaphil, Melbourne City Football Club and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

Her love of fashion sees Liz working for popular streetwear brand StreetX, founded by her partner Daniel Bradshaw. In her spare time, Liz loves being out in nature, spending time with her family and friends, exercising and traveling.
