Known as the Aussie SUP powerhouse continuing to dominate the sport internationally, Michael Booth is fast becoming the most highly regarded and respected SUP contender worldwide.

Born and raised in Newcastle, Michael moved to the Gold Coast in 2009, before relocating to Perth in 2015 where he is now based. Two years into his engineering degree, Michael’s love of the ocean led him to pursue his dream of becoming an international athlete.

Michael displays an outstanding natural talent, with the results speaking for themselves. Michael has become a 3x Australian Champion, and 4x World Champion, 3x European Tour Champion. Needless to say, Michael continues to impress his sponsors and loyal followers. Michael prides himself on the quality and consistency of his performance and believes that success can only be achieved through hard work, self-belief and dedication – words which he continues to live by during both the off season and the racing season.

Out of the water, his passion for the sport and desire to help others has led Michael to launch his own global coaching business, which offers over tailored and personalised online programs, sharing his knowledge and skills in SUP racing. Additionally, Michael is the Director of MB Paddles – a custom-made paddle range in collaboration with world-renowned Paddle manufacturer Gara Paddles.
