Terra Australis is a highly experienced team of Western Australian based filmmakers and ocean focused production experts; Andre Rerekura, Nush Freedman, Ryan Chatfield and Johnny Debnam. The team’s unique skill sets and arsenal of state-of-the-art production equipment has seen them deliver cinematic projects to the world’s leaders in digital content.

Key to their success is their ability to offer a broad range of production and content creation requirements that include underwater, aerial and land-based imagery, in addition to vessel management, marine operations, location logistics and crewing.

In October 2022, Terra Australis’ first Docu-series was launched - Shipwreck Hunters Australia. Streaming now on Disney+, with viewership reaching more than 150 million homes globally, Shipwreck Hunters Australia is a six-part documentary series exploring Western Australia’s “Treasure Coast”. During each episode, the team embarks on an epic expedition to a remote location off the vast coast of WA, the mission is to uncover long-lost shipwreck secrets and make world-first discoveries.

Terra Australis have worked alongside major digital platforms including Disney +, BBC, Netflix, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Tourism Australia, and Rolex.

The Terra Australis team currently live and work on Whadjuk Country (Perth, Western Australia).
